This lemon lover’s cake is made with alternating layers of vanilla cake and lemon cake with my home-made cherry preserves and lemon curd. Lemon mousse filling and lemon mascarpone buttercream frosting are the finishing touch to this twist on my dad’s favorite birthday cake.
